Description
ARAB-SASANIAN; "Gopatshah". Gyselen Type 8. Æ (0.45 gm; 19 mm). Obverse, two figures, one much smaller than the one on the right, figure on the right facing forward, with fibula on the shoulder with some form of headdress, GDH and APZUT on the left, Pahlavi phrase APAD (Abay per Gyselen) on the right, reverse mythical figure of Gopatshah with a six pointed star and letter "P" on the right and phrase in Pahlavi APAD or ABAD or AZAD BISHAPUR (May Bishapur prosper). Gyselen Type 8. Red patina. Choice VF. Rare.
