Description
ARAB-SASANIAN; Darabgird series, dated 68 AH. Æ (3.10 gm; 20 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right, phrase in Pahlavi 'APZUT" in front of face, GDH behind the crown, Arabic phrase "Bismillah" on the second quarter, triple dots on either sides of 6 o'clock symbol, Reverse, fire altar, mint DA (Darabgird) on the right, date 68 on the left, Arabic phrase "Barakah" (God's merciful gift) on the third quarter and Arabic phrase "Barakah" on the third quarter, doble dots on the 4th quarter at the left of 12 o'clock symbol. Gyselen Type 10b. Struck on a nice broad flan. Choice aEF. Original find patina. Of highest rarity among the Arab Sasanian series.
