Description
AUSTRIA, Vienna. Charles VI (1711-1740). Silver Thaler (28.59 gm; 42 mm). Tyrol mint, dated 1737. Obverse: Older bust of Charles VI. On shoulder; a simple brooch / Reverse: Crowned double headed imperial eagle with crowned arms composed of Castilla; Hungary; Bohemia and ancient Burgundy; at the center a small Austrian shield; surrounded by the chain of the Golden Fleece. Date at end of legend. 1737. KM 1579.3; Her 314; Dav 1038. Choice EF. Lightly toned.
