Description
KINGS of PERSIS; Vahbarz (Orbozos) (3rd century BC). AR Hemidrachm (1.67 gm; 14 mm). Head of Vabharz with luxuriant moustache to right, wearing kyrbasia or satrapal hat and earring / Fire-temple of Ahura-Mazda; above, half-figure of Ahura-Mazda to left; to left, King standing right, his hands raised in adoration; to right, standard. K&M 2/11; Cf. Alram 526; Sunrise 565var.(but hemidrachm). Struck on a nice flan. Light porosity. Choice VF / Good VF. Lightly toned. Extremely rare.
