Description
YUEH-CHI in SOGDIANA. Anonymous. 1st century BC. Æ Tetradrachm (13.34 gm; 30 mm). Imitating Heliokles I of Baktria. Diademed and draped bust of Heliokles I right. Reverse: BΛΣIΛEΩΣ / HΛIKΛEYΣ / ΔIIAIY. Zeus standing facing, holding thunderbolt and long scepter; monogram in inner left field. Senior A21.1T; HGC 12, 174; Mitchiner 4, 502504; SNG ANS 660664. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice Good VF. Original patina.
