ARAB-SASANIAN; or LATE SASANIAN, mint: "Aturpaadgaan". Æ (0.81 gm; 17 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right, phrase "NAR?" in front of face, phrase "GHCP?" on the second quarter, reverse, fire altar with attendants, mint: AT (Aturpaadgaan-Azarbaijan), year, not legible, phrase (might not be in Pahlavi but in Armenian or Georgian) on the first quarter. Brown patina. Choice EF. Extremely rare. First one we have seen for this type.
