ARAB-SASANIAN; Hajaj ibn Yusuf. Gyselen Type 79. Æ (0.48 gm; 18 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right, name in Arabic/Kufic "Hajaj ibn Yusuf" in two lines in front of face, GDH and Apzuty- phrases behind the crown, Shahadah for Allah and Prophet Mohammad on the outer ring, reverse, robed figure with raised hand, phrase on the left "Pylwc bavad" (to be victorious ) followed by Ajaj (Hajaj). Gyselen Type 79. Brown patina. Choice VF. Creased. Extremely rare.
