Description
BYZANTINE EMPIRE; Constantine VII and Zoe. 914-919 AD. Æ Follis (6.50 gm; 24 mm). Constantinople mint. Facing crowned busts of Constantine VII and his mother, holding between them long patriarchal cross, the emperor wearing loros, the empress clad in chlamys. Rev. Imperial inscription in five lines across field. DOC 22; Sear 1758. Choice Good VF. Nice original find patina.
