KINGS of BAKTRIA, Eukratides I. cA, 171-145 BC. AR Drachm (4.23 gm; 19 mm). Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Eukratides I right, wearing crested helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOY above, EYKPATIΔOY in exergue, the Dioskouroi, holding palm branches and spears, on horses rearing right; to lower right, monogram. Bopearachchi Série 6W var. (monogram placement); MIG 177f var. Minor delamination on obverse field, otherwise well struck on an excellent metal. Choice EF / AU. Lightly toned with some luster.
