TABERISTAN; Daadborzmehr, (722-731 AD). AR Hemidrachm (2.08 gm; 24 mm). Standard issue, year 89. Obverse; Sasanian bust to the right, name in Pahlavi in front of face, phrase APD in Pahlavi in the second quarter. Reverse: fire altar with attendants, mint “TPURSTAN (Tabaristan)” on the right, date year 89. The period coincides with reign of 10th Umayyad Khalif; Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik. Album 51. Choice AU / UNC. Lightly toned. Fully lustrous.
