Late posthumous issue of Aspendus in the name and types of Alexander III the Great of Macedon, dated Civic Year 22 (ca. 191/0 BC). Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on ground line, eagle in outstretched right hand, grounded scepter in left; AΣ (city ethnic) above KB (date) in left field. Price 2888. NGC-MS (Strike 5/5; Surface 3/5). Certificate # 5771553-002. Toned with some luster. Great example for this issue.
