PONTOS, Amisos. Circa 85-65 BC. Æ (8.27 gm; 22 mm). Head of Mithradates VI as Dionysos right with ivy wreath / rev. Cista mystica, on which rests panther skin and thyrsus, HTPK monogram to left, AMIΣOY below. SNG BMC 1205; Sear Greek 3640; BMC 53; McClean 7368. Sharply struck on a nice broad flan. Brown patina. Choice FDC. Great example for the issue.
