SASANIAN KINGS, Bahram (Varhran) V. 420-438 AD. AR Drachm (4.16 gm; 28 mm). Large portrait issue, second series, mint "RD" (Ray), no date. Bust right, wearing mural crown with korymbos set on crescent / Fire altar with head of Bahram right on shaft; flanked by two attendants. SNS type Ia/2 (pl. 63, A17); Göbl type I/2 (pl. 9, 155); Mochiri 1378; Paruck -; Saeedi -; Sunrise 920. Sharply struck on a good metal. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Fully lustrous.
