TABERISTAN, Khurshid or Khorshid, (115-142 AH). AR Hemidrachm (2.08 gm; 25 mm). Standard issue. Obverse; Sasanian bust to the right, name in Pahlavi in front of face, phrase APD in Pahlavi in the second quarter. Reverse: fire altar with attendants, mint “TPURASTN (Tabaristan)” on the right, date: year 91. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Fully lustrous.
