ABBASID CALIPHS, al-Mahdi, 775-785 AD. Æ (2.07 gm; 17 mm). Obverse, Shahadah, reverse, phrase "al-Khlifah/al-Mahdi/Mohammad Amir/al Mo'menin/Rabi',mint Istaxr, year 160. Sharply struck on a nice full flan. Perfectly centered. Brown reddish patina. Choice Good EF.
