BUYID (Buwayhid), Baha al Dawlah Abu-Nasr Firuz, 398 AH. AR Dirhem (3.52 gm; 29 mm). Obverse, Shahadah, followed by phrase "Malik al-Moluk al Aadel, Shahanshah Qawam al-din Abu Nasr, reverse, Adl (at the top) followed by Shahadah for Prophet Mohammad, followed by Tayeh allah (Abbasid Khalif), wa salmah, mint: Shiraz followed by date 398 noted on the obverse. Khalif's name is posthumous. Sharply struck on an excellent metal. Choice UNC. Fully lustrous. Extremely rare.
