FRANCE, Napoleon III, 1852-1870. Gold 50 Francs (16.05 gm; 28 mm). Paris mint, dated 1857-A. Obv: portrait of the king facing right, lettering "NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR" around, Rev: a crowned and mantled coat-of-arms, divided denomination by the sides, lettering "EMPIRE FRANCAIS" around, date, privy mark and mintmark 'A' in the exergue. KM-785.1 Choice EF with some luster.
