TABERISTAN, Umar ibn A'la, 771-782 AD. AR Hemidrachm (1.91 gm; 24 mm). Obverse, Sasanian bust turning right, name in Pahlavi in front of face name in Kufic/Arabic starting on the third quarter "Umar bin" to the second quarter "al-A'la, year 125. Sharply struck on a nice full broad flan. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Fully lustrous. Rare.
