Description
ARAB-SASANIAN, "Apzuty", Istaxr mint. Æ (0.94 gm; 17 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right, in front of face, phrase "Apzuty" and then ST(?) for Istaxr (mint location), GDH behind the head, reverse, facing forward bust, illegible legend on the left, legend to the right "Ustantar"(?) (Governor?). Not in Gyselen. Brown reddish patina. Choice EF. Extremely rare.
