SASANIAN KINGS, Bahram (Varhran) V, second series, 420-438 AD. AR Drachm (4.24 gm; 29 mm). Bust right, wearing mural crown with korymbos set on crescent / Fire altar with head of Bahram right on shaft; flanked by two attendants. mint: AW (Ahwaz) on the right side of right attendant with figure in the fire altar. SNS type Ia/2 (pl. 63, A17); Göbl type I/2 (pl. 9, 155); Mochiri 1378; Paruck -; Saeedi -; Sunrise 920. Sharply struck on a nice broad flan. Choice FDC. Lightly toned. Fully lustrous.
