Description
ARAB-SASANIAN, Apaat Bishapur series, Gyselen Type 8. Æ (1.08 gm; 21 mm). Obverse, Byzantine style figure and his successor, phrase in Pahlavi "Apzuty" on the left, phrase in Pahlavi "Apaat" (well built and maintained or prosperous) on the right, reverse, Gopatshah, letter "P" in Pahlavi on the right (Possibly for dependency of Fasa), phrase in Pahlavi "Apaat Bishapur" on the left. Gyselen Type 8. Well struck on a broad flan. Choice Good VF. Original reddish patina. Rare.
