Arab-Sasanian: 'Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad, AH 54-63 (AD 673-683), AR silver Drachm, 56H Dated, Basra Mint. Bust to right, the full name of the governor in Pahlavi legend; "bism allah", meaning in the name of God on the margin with other additional legends. The usual Sasanian reverse with a fire alter in the centre with two attendants on both sides, Pahlavi legends for date (left) and mint (right). 3.84gm, 33mm, Extremely Fine.
