Arab Sasanian: 'Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad, AH 54-63 (AD 673-683), AR Silver Drachm, 54 or 55 H Dated, Basra Mint. Obverse: Bust to right, the full name of the governor in Pahlavi legend; "bism allah", meaning in the name of God on the margin with other additional legends. Reverse: The usual Sasanian reverse with a fire alter in the centre with two attendants on both sides, Pahlavi legends for date (left) and mint (right). (3.84gm, 31mm), Extremely Fine.
