BYZANTINE EMPIRE, Justinian I, 527-565 AD. Æ Follis (22.53 gm; 40 mm). Constantinople mint, Dated RY 15 (541/2). Obverse: DN IVSTINIANVS PP AVG, helmeted, draped, and cuirassed bust facing, holding globus cruciger and shield decorated with soldier on horseback motif; cross to right. Reverse: Large M; cross above, X/V (date) to right, D below; in exergue CON. Sear 163. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Original patina. Choice Good VF.
