PERSIA, Early Safavid. Ca. 1700s. Green Jade Islamic Stamp Negative Seal (9.96 gm; 29 mm x 10mm) Text in Arabic describing the "non-material purity to be always victorious". As typical of these types of work, the name of the owner can also be part of the entire phrase. Traces of gold gilt still present around the legends. Wonderful style of naskh calligraphy. Excellent condition. Very rare.
