KINGS of BAKTRIA, Eukratides I. circa 171-145 BC. AR Drachm (4.23 gm; 17 mm). Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Eukratides I right, wearing crested helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOY above, EYKPATIΔOY in exergue, the Dioskouroi, holding palm branches and spears, on horses rearing right; to lower right, monogram. Bopearachchi 7G; HGC 12, 136. Sharply struck on a nice flan. Choice AU. Lightly toned.
