KINGS of PARTHIA, Orodes II. 57-38 BC. AR Drachm (3.85 gm; 20 mm). Mithradatkart mint. Struck circa 50-42 BC. Diademed bust left; crescent behind / Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow. Sellwood 46.12; Shore 234; Sunrise 373var.(similar to Sunrise 370 but with eight legend lines). Struck on a broad flan. Nice style. Choice EF. Lightly toned. Unpublished variety for this type. Very rare.
