KINGS of PERSIS, Ardaxsir (Artaxerxes) II. 1st century BC. AR Hemidrachm (1.96 gm; 17 mm). Type 1a. Small bust left, with short beard, wearing diadem with three ties, torque with three segments, and mural crown; no symbol behind / Ardaxsir standing left, holding scepter and sacrificing before altar to left. K&M 4/12b; Alram 571; Tyler- Smith 42-6; Sunrise 595. Well struck on a nice unusual shaped flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned.
