ROMAN EMPIRE, Lucilla. 163-181 AD. Æ Sestertius (24.82 gm; 30 mm). Struck under Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus in Rome, AD 164-169. LVCILLAE AVG ANTONINI AVG F, draped bust right / PIETAS, Pietas standing left, holding accerum and sacrificing over lighted and garlanded altar to left; S-C across fields. RIC 1756; RSC 54. Minor lamination on obverse field, otherwise well struck on a nice broad flan. Nicely centered. Dark reddish patina. Choice Good VF. Ex. U.S. Circuit Judge John Benjamin Sanborn Jr. Collection.
