SASANIAN KINGS, Yazdgird I, 399-420 AD. AR Drachm (4.26 gm; 26 mm). HLYDY (Herat) mint. Bust right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos / Fire altar with ribbons; flanked by two attendants; monograms on altar shaft. SNS type Ia2/1a (pl. 51, A30); Göbl type I/1 (pl. 9, 146); Paruck -; Saeedi -; Sunrise 900. Some light hairline scratches on the obverse field. Choice VF. Lightly toned. Rare.
