SASANIAN KINGS, Yazdgird II. AD 438-457. AR Drachm (4.09 gm; 30 mm). Bust right, wearing mural crown with korymbos set on crescent and inner ribbon / reverse, phrase NWKY (goodness and good deed) on the right, no date. Fire altar (flames 4) with ribbons; flanked by two attendants, each holding a staff. SNS type Ia1/2a (pl. 71, 14); Mochiri 1379; Paruck -; Saeedi 242; Gobl 160; Sunrise 931var. Well struck on a nice full flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned with some luster.
