Description
ARAB-SASANIAN, Governors of Tabaristan "Apzuty". Gyselen type 47. Æ (1.50 gm; 15 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right with three semi-circular decoration below the bust, reverse, phrase in Pahlavi, "Apzuty T(a)p(u)rystn" meaning "May Tabaristan prosper", triple dots on the top and bottom, star to the left. Choice VF. Gyselen type 47. Always rare in any condition. Original find green patina.
