KINGS of BAKTRIA, Eukratides I. circa 171-145 BC. AR Drachm (4.22 gm; 20 mm). Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Eukratides I right, wearing crested helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear / Rev: BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOY above, EYKPATIΔOY in exergue, the Dioskouroi, holding palm branches and spears, on horses rearing right; to lower right, monogram. Bopearachchi 7G; HGC 12, 136. Small hairline crack. Sharply struck on an excellent metal. Fine style. Choice FDC. Lightly toned with some luster.
