SASANIAN KINGS, Shapur I. 240-272 AD. Æ Tetradrachm (19.07 gm; 29 mm). Obverse, bust right with standard crown with earflap, reverse, fire altar with attendants. Well struck on a nice broad medallic flan. Original reddish-green patina. This example is much heavier than the standard issues. Choice VF. Extremely rare.
