Description
ARAB-SASANIAN, Daray series from Bishapur. Æ (1.22 gm; 21 mm). Obverse, Goddess facing forward, phrase, "Daray" on the right, GDH and Apzut on the left, reverse, Gopadshah to the right, letter "P" and star in front of face (letter P for Pylch (Victorious) or for dependency of Fasa), phrase on the left "apad bishapur" (may Bishupur prosper). Well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice VF. Nice original reddish patina. Extremely rare.
