SASANIAN KINGS, Valkash. 484-488 AD. AR Drachm (4.08 gm; 28 mm). Standard issue, Crowned bust of Valkash turning right with shoulder flame within a standard double ring, reverse, fire altar with attendants / reverse, mint not legible due to strike, king's name to the left. SNS type Ib/1b; Göbl type I/1; Paruck 368; Saeedi 255; Sunrise 955var. Minor weakness on reverse, otherwise well struck. Choice EF. Nice old cabinet toning.
