Civic Copper, AE falus, Lanjah mint (now Bandar Lengeh), dated AH 1247, with European bale-mark. Lengeh was an important trade port from the 18th to the very early 20th century. al-Qawasim ruled over the port of Lengeh as sheikhs for a century until its annexation by Iran in 1887, al-Qawasim is an Arab dynasty and tribe that rules Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, today forming two of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates.
