AFSHARID: AR RUPEE. Nader Shah Afshar (1735-1747). Isfahan mint. Dated AH 1157. Obverse: Legend in Persian: "Sultan hast bar salatin jehan, shahanshah nadir sahib qiran" = sultan over the Sultans of the world, King of Kings Nadir, lord of the fortunate conjunction of planets. Reverse : Legend in Persian, within circle, :"zarb dar-ul-saltanat Isfahan 1157" = struck 1157 at the seat of the sultanate, Isfahan. (11.61gm, 23mm), Extremely Fine.
