ATTICA, Athens. 465-454 BC. "Transitional issue". AR Tetradrachm (17.12 gm; 24 mm). Helmeted head of Athena right / AΘΕ, Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent behind. Cf. Starr pl. XXII; Kroll 8. Sharply struck from high relief dies. Choice Superb "Almost as Struck". Lightly toned.
