SELEUKID KINGS, Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.01 gm; 28 mm). Susa mint. Struck circa 305/4-295 BC. Head of hero (Alexander or Seleukos?) right, wearing helmet covered with panther skin and adorned with the ear and horns of a bull / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΣEΛEYKOY, Nike standing right erecting trophy; monogram below left wing and in field between Nike and trophy. SC 173.4; ESM 426; SNG Spaer -; Houghton 1023; Kraay & Hirmer 740. Couple of minor hairline scratches, otherwise well struck on a nice broad medallic flan. Nicely centered. Choice Good VF. Toned.
