Description
ARAB-SASANIAN, Abdullah ibn Zubayr (Rival Khalif). Year 60. AR Dirhem (4.12 gm; 30 mm). Obverse, Sasanian bust of Khosrau II turning right name “apdwla-i zubiran amīr-i -wurrishnikān” (ʻAbdullah bin Zubayr, Commander of the Believers) in front of face, phrase "Bismillah" on the 2nd quarter, triple dots at 6 o'clock, reverse, mint "DA + GOY" (Diarabgird-Guyam, Guyam being dependency of Darabgird) on the right, year 60 on the left. Sharply struck on a nice flan. Choice AU. Toned.
