SASANIAN KINGS, Shapur II. 309-379 AD. AR Drachm (3.44 gm; 29 mm). Standard issue, obverse, Shapur's bust turning right, legends around the figure, reverse, fire altar with attendants, Faravahar symbol on the fire altar base. Wonderful style. Sharply struck on a broad flan. Some minor area of chipping on the edge, otherwise well struck. Choice EF.
