Description
SASANIAN EMPIRE. Circa 5th. Century AD. Quartz Crystal Stamp Ring Seal (2.03 gm; 14mm x 11mm x 9mm). Bird walking right, the second line of legend is almost unreadable. The word "bishtn" means "harm". More than likely it is reference to sacrificial nature of the bird which stops harm to the owner. Minor hairline partial crack inside the stone (possibly natural). Excellent condition. Intact. Rare.
