MACEDONIAN KINGDOM: ANTIGONUS MONOPHTALMUS. In the name of Alexander III the Great. AR Drachm, c. 310-301 BC. Teos, Ionia. Obverse: Anepigraphic. Beardless head of Heracles right, wearing the lion skin tied under the neck; circular beaded border. Reverse: Zeus Aetophoros, legs crossed, seated left on a backless throne, nude to the waist, holding an eagle perched on his right hand and a long, knobbed scepter in his left; in the field to the left, a griffin. (4.11gm, 17mm), Good Very Fine.
