PONTIC KINGDOM, Amisos. City issue under Mithradates VI. 105-85 BC. Æ ( 7.09 gm; 20 mm). Gorgonion at center of aegis on octagonal shield / [A]MI-ΣO[Y], ethnic across field divided by Nike standing facing, head right, holding wreath & palm and trophy over shoulder; two monograms in lower fields. SNG Cop.167 var; SNG BM Black Sea 1177-91; HGC 7, 242. Few areas of chipped patina on obverse field. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Nicely centered. Nice dark green patina. Choice EF.
