KINGS of THRACE, Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.87 gm; 29 mm). Alexandria troas. Circa 297-281 BC. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛΥΣIMAXOΥ, Athena seated to left on throne, leaning her left elbow on her shield decorated with lion's head and holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her outstretched right hand, behind, transverse spear; in inner left field, monogram of ΠYP, monogram in exergue. Müller 443a var. (slightly differing monogram); Cf. Thompson 115. Well struck on a nice flan from the high relief dies. Nicely centered. Choice EF and toned.
