CALABRIA, Tarentum. 280-272 BC. AR Nomos (6.32 gm; 21 mm). The Dioskoroi riding left; monograam above heads, ΣΩΔAMOΣ below. Reverse: Taras astride dolphin left, holding Nike in extended right hand, small shield decorated with hippocamp and two lances in left; Y before, waves below. Vlasto 773ff; SNG ANS 1121ff. Well struck on a nice full broad flan. Well centered. Choice Good EF. Nice old cabinet toning.
