SASANIAN KINGS, Varhran (Bahram) I. AD 273-276. Gold Dinar (7.40 gm; 21 mm). Bust of Varhran I right, wearing diadem and radiate crown with korymbos; two pellets above diadem ties. Reverse: Fire altar; flanked by two attendants, the one on the left wearing crown with korymbos, the other wearing mural crown. SNS type Ib/1Ba; Göbl type I/1; Paruck -; Saeedi AV16; Sunrise 754var. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice EF. Some original find earthen patina. Very rare.
