SASANIAN KINGS, Peroz (Firuz) I. (AD 457/9-484). AR Obol (0.50 gm; 14 mm). ST (Stakhr) mint. Struck circa AD 474-477. Bust right, wearing crown with two wings, frontal crescent, and korymbos set on crescent, ribbon over each shoulder / Fire altar with ribbons; flanked by two attendants; star and crescent flanking flames; illegible inscription on left. SNS type IIIa/1c; Göbl type III/1; Paruck -; Saeedi -; Sunrise 948. Sharply struck on an excellent metal. Choice EF. Toned.
