ROMAN EMPIRE, Caracalla. 198-217 AD. AR Denarius (3.37 gm; 18 mm). Rome mint, circa 206-210 AD. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG Laureate head of Caracalla to right / Rev. VOTA SVSCEPTA X Togate emperor standing facing, head to left, sacrificing from patera over lighted altar at feet to left. BMC 524; RIC 179; RSC 689. Sharply struck on a nice full flan. Choice Superb. Toned with some luster.
